Welcome to the online shopping platform for NicBladen Botanicals, a range of jewellery by well-known South African artist Nic Bladen.
Whilst for the last ten years Bladen has garnered attention with his life-size bronze plant sculptures, which are represented by Everard Read Gallery (www.everard-read.co.za) the jewellery alludes to Bladen’s very first experiments with lost-organic casting, and as such actually predates or foreshadows his sculptures.
Each piece here is a tiny sculptural gem, an intricate and unique talisman cast from nature and refined by Bladen’s hand. It is important to note that every item of jewellery shown on this website is unique, and that each leaf, twig and flower has been cast directly from nature, in an individual mold.
